GIAC software for the MKVI 2.0 TDI (2009+) results in power gains of:
- 22 wheel horsepower and 20 wheel torque
- Estimated crankshaft power output of 165 brake horsepower and 259 brake torque
During testing, we noticed that the factory torque limiters were consistently intervening to bring power down. Seeing this, GIAC developed a proper DSG transmission flash that recalibrates the torque limiters and allows full resolution over power output. When paired with GIAC DSG software, power output is:
- 19 wheel horsepower and 64 wheel torque
- Estimated crankshaft power output of 161 brake horsepower and 310 brake torque
Besides power gains, GIAC software improves drivability through remapped peddle response. Many refer to this as a "drive-by-cable" feel. Benefits to the DSG transmission flash include:
- Raised torque limits for more power
- Improved shift speeds
- Locked "M" mode
